Lisa Bradford Killed in Aldie Domestic Shooting as Northern Virginia Communities Mourn
Communities across Chantilly, Ashburn, Reston and Aldie are mourning the tragic death of Lisa Bradford, a well-known Northern Virginia real estate professional who was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in what authorities are investigating as a domestic homicide.
The fatal shooting was reported shortly after noon on September 22 in the Willowsford neighborhood near Aldie, prompting a heavy law enforcement response around Quimby Oaks Place and Sheffield Forest Drive.
According to the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the area after receiving a report of a shooting at a home. An adult female was found dead inside the residence. 
The Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that the shooting is being investigated as a homicide.
Lisa Bradford Remembered
Bradford was a familiar and respected figure in Northern Virginia’s real estate community.
She was the owner of Bradford & Associates and worked as a full-time, full-service Realtor® serving clients throughout the Northern Virginia area.
Bradford had been a licensed Realtor since 2008 and built a career focused on helping clients navigate the real estate market.
Before entering real estate, Bradford spent approximately 10 years working in sales for Ford Motor Company. She began her career there as a Zone Manager and eventually advanced to Truck Manager.
Her professional experience gave her a broad background in sales, leadership and client service that she later brought to her real estate career.
Bradford graduated from Miami University.
Fatal Shooting Under Investigation
The incident unfolded Tuesday afternoon in the Willowsford community near Aldie.
Deputies were called to the area of Quimby Oaks Place and Sheffield Forest Drive shortly after 12 p.m. When authorities arrived, they discovered an adult woman deceased inside a home.
The suspect had reportedly left the scene, leading law enforcement agencies to conduct a search beyond the immediate area.
As a precaution, nine schools in the surrounding area were placed under secure-building status while authorities worked to locate the suspect. The heightened security measure allowed educational activities to continue while additional precautions were in place.
Husband Identified in Circulating BOLO
A law enforcement alert circulating in connection with the investigation identified Roger Paul Bradford, 60, as the husband and alleged suspect in the shooting.
The alert stated that he should be considered armed and dangerous and that authorities were searching for him after the shooting.
The circulating BOLO also referenced a possible Kia Sportage rental vehicle with Florida plates and a white Lincoln Aviator registered in Virginia. These details have not been independently confirmed in the official LCSO information reviewed for this report and should be treated as preliminary.
